Welcome to the West Texas Counseling Association

The West Texas Counseling Association, a chapter of the Texas Counseling Association, provides support, leadership, and continuing education opportunities to the Professional Counselors in a fourteen-county region surrounding Lubbock. WTCA leadership serves as a direct link to the state organization and provides local counselors an avenue to have their voices heard at the Texas Legislature, the State Board of Educator Certification, the Board of Examiners of Licensed Professional Counselors, and other state agencies. WTCA was recognized for its service to local counselors through the Chapter of the Year award in 2014.

WTCA members have a long history of leadership at the state level and are recognized as leaders in the Counseling profession. Four WTCA members are former presidents of the Texas Counseling Association and one former president of the American Counseling Association.

This work and commitment to excellence would not be possible without an active and thriving membership. If you are interested in attending an upcoming workshop or getting involved in advocating for the counseling profession, please reach out to westtexascounselingassociation@gmail.com. We look forward to meeting you and working with you in service and advocacy.
